These Homeschool Art Lessons are geared toward students age 7-18. These classes are focused on building technical skills in a variety of media and exploring how artistic expression shapes culture and careers worldwide. These weekly classes are scaffolded to help students build on prior knowledge to create higher quality work. This 8-week session will conclude with a student art show and awards.

Classes meet at the Mustang Recreation Center on Mondays, January 9 - March 6

NOTE: The Community Center will be closed on January 16th for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so we will not have art class that day.

Ages 7-11 meet at 10 a.m. 

Ages 12+ meet at 11 a.m. 

Winter Session Focus:

  • Art Around the World

  • Drawing and Painting Techniques

  • Weaving

  • Collage

  • Printmaking

  • Sculpture

  • Design and Composition

  • Artist Statements and Communication


Supplies Needed:

  • 9x12 multimedia sketchbook

  • Pencil

  • Crayons

  • Colored pencils (Prismacolors recommended for age 12+)

  • Eraser

  • Handheld pencil sharpener

  • Art pencil set that includes HB, 2b, 4b (only for age 12+)

(Siblings are welcome to share supplies, and they do not have to be new.)

*All painting supplies, specialty drawing materials, sculpture, and multimedia supplies will be provided


$75 for 8-week session

Payments will be due in full at the door the first day of class: Cash, check, or PayPal

*EPIC STUDENTS NOTE: I am no longer working with Epic for invoicing through the learning fund, so class tuition with be the responsibility of each family.
