Weekly Advanced Homeschool Art Course

Monday afternoons from 1p.m. - 2p.m.
Mustang Recreation Center
August 31, 2026 - May 17, 2027
$40/month

This advanced art class is for mature 7th-12th graders who have a serious interest in art. This year's theme is "Community Creators."

Advanced art students will learn to use their skills to improve their community. In this course we will cover common projects artists are asked to do for their churches, nonprofits, and other civic organizations. We will especially focus on visual communication, marketing materials and large-scale projects working as a team. We will try to incorporate projects for real-world clients when possible.

Students are expected to maintain their supplies, experiment with techniques, and build technical skills while communicating with one another professionally. We will delve into a variety of media techniques with optional digital art integration, and we will have opportunities for the group to do a community service project, attend art-related field trips, and participate in an art show.

Materials Needed (brands and quality, your choice):
